What is easy to say is that holding to the fundamentals of ones faith is not irrational, but elevating them to the point of worship and legalism goes against the teachings of Christ, and is equally dangerous to their own faith and the furtherance of the true gospel. (While hell is a fundamental of Christianity, it was not the focus of Christ's message, and I've seen far too many on here personally condemn others - some even come across as ';wishful thinking'; rather than being heart-sick over it, as one understanding/mature in the truth would be.)Do you believe that fundamentalists are true or false christians?
Fundamentalists are true Christians, especially in the American sense. The Pilgrims were fundamentalists and they colonized American shores to gain religious freedom for themselves, and once they achieved religious freedom they passed laws to deny religious freedom to the next group that landed. We are blessed that the Founding Fathers for the most part identified themselves as Deists and not Christians, otherwise the Christians would have fractured this country into several separate, fundamentalist, Christian colonies. So, oh yes, the fundamentals are the true Christians.Do you believe that fundamentalists are true or false christians?
Only God has the sovereign right to decide who is and isn't one of His own. In fact, telling someone else that they aren't a real Christian is the sin of presumption, as described in the Book of James:





James 4:11-12 Do not speak against one another, brethren. He who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks against the law and judges the law; but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge of it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you who judge your neighbor?





Now I just wish a few of the fundamentalists around this Forum would extend the same courtesy of not judging another person's Christianity to me and my fellow Catholic Christians.
I don't know who you are labeling as a Christian fundamentalist. Perhaps you're reffering to those fundamentalist religious believers in the United States who want to change the Constitution so that it includes injunctions about sex and prayer from the Bible etc...





Yes, they are Christians. What do I think of them? Well, I don't have anything at all against them, but personally I don't like fundamentalism. If you look at the so-called ';cultural wars'; in USA, the clash comes from the two extremes. Fundamentalist religious believers and of course atheists have their own fundamentalists.





I think there is another way, a ';third way';...
If they are liars, they are not Jesus' idea of a Christian.

1. Once saved always saved (although not all fundies believe this)


2. Pre-tribulation rapture (again not all fundies believe this)


3. Non-necessity of baptism.

The word Christian in a man name for a group of people that suppose to following Jesus way. So yes anyone can be a Christian. But I cannot find any where in the bible that Jesus called his people Christians. He called them his sons.
All christians are true christians...do you understand what it means to be a christian.......faith in christ jesus is the only way to be a christian.


Some may profest with there mouth to be christians but in reality they are not.

They are not all the same. Some do not or insult the original Universal Church that they stole the Bible from and others might as well work for Satan because they make many people hate to even hear the name of Christ by cursing and abusing people.
They are the equivalent to the pharisees in the bible. They believe that they are pious, but they are corrupting that which they teach.
Fundies are false christians. A lot of them are also nutjobs.

Those fundies who say ';Catholics are not Christians'; are definitely false christians.





True Christans do not attack the the Church that Jesus founded.
They are still Christians. They are simply radical Christians. You can't disown them just because you disagree with them.





There are extreme atheists, too.
Most of the ones I have met, I would personally consider false Christians.
Many fundamentalists have been misled by Satan into thinking that they are the only Christians.
Some are, some are not.
False, it's obvious that we evolved to be at this point. I'm Catholic but that doesn't mean I don't have common sense. lol.
