I hear Preachers Like Kent Hovind say that YHWH wittiness' is a false religion& then dont say anything to why?

Apart from the obvious;Changing almost every time the word Lord to Jehovah.(I am sure if God wanted his name every where he would have told Moses instead of ';I AM WHO I AM';.

Is there much other reasons why it would be a false religion?I hear Preachers Like Kent Hovind say that YHWH wittiness' is a false religion%26amp; then dont say anything to why?
I am sure that if God wanted his name every where, he would have put his name in the Bible about 7000 times.

Oh, wait! He did!

I guess we should use it then.

Yes, it was everyone else who changed Jehovah to Lord, not the other way around.

By the way, Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh just sheds more light on the meaning of God's name Jehovah (YHWH) and is not God's name. Also, it is more accurately translated ';I Shall Prove To Be What I Shall Prove To Be,'; and not ';I Am That I Am.'; (He didn't say ';I Am Who I Am.';) Almost every Bible translation translates ';Ehyeh'; as ';I will be'; - or some equivalent - just two verses prior (Ex 3:12). Why they lack consistency in verse 14 is a mystery.

As for preachers like Kent Hovind - who cares? God is the judge, not man.I hear Preachers Like Kent Hovind say that YHWH wittiness' is a false religion%26amp; then dont say anything to why?
Although I have little respect for Mr. Hovind, he is correct in his opinion of JWs.

With the false prophecies in their history, denial of many Biblical Dcotrines, and changing the Word of God to suit their own doctrines, it can only be classified as a religious cult.

The members are very nice, sincere people, but they are also sincerely decived.
If Kent Hovind told me the Sun would rise tomorrow I would get worried.

There are plenty of persistent and deliberate liars in this world and some are so obvious that they are ridiculous. Other are a little more convincing.

But in this case it's ';Pot, meet Kettle';.
I believe Jehovah's Witnesses have the right religion. They believe the whole Bible is the word of God 2Timothy 3:16. They believe Jehovah God is the creator of all things Genesis 1:1. They believe some go to heaven Revelation 14: 1 and most will live on earth Matthew 5:5. They so not fight and kill in wars or vote Matthew 26:52; Revelation 13:10; John 17:14, 16; 18:36. They do this in the face of prison or death in some countries. Korea sees all men who are Jehovah's Witnesses do prison time because they refuse to do military service. They do not celebrate pagan and Satanic holidays Matthew 4:10; 2 Cor 6:15. They preach and preach and preach just like the first century Christians. That is truth.

It was a question on Jepeordy that no one knew. What is the most accurate translation of the Holy Scriptures? The answer was ';New Translation of the Holy Scriptures';. People say that they changed it to suit their doctrines but really they went back to the earliest manuscripts and now even non JW's have listed it as the most accurate translation. Too bad for all those who have been lied to if they don't do their research.
No, you have it backwards. Jehovah's Witnesses did not change the word Lord to Jehovah. The name Jehovah (or Yahweh, YHWH) appears in the Bible some 7,000 times. It is the other translations that changed it to ';Lord'; or ';LORD.';

And that's the point. God DID tell Moses that his name was Jehovah (or Yahweh, YHWH). Read the book of Exodus, in the Hebrew text.

You are relying on translations, not on the Hebrew text, and those translations are incorrect. They were made by people who presumptuously took God's Name out of his own holy Word.
with kent hovind this is prime example of good education mixxed with opinion and people believing what they are taught and not giving up to greather exaltations and expounding of scripture in sound doctrines.

truly jesus said divide the word of God correctly implies that some of the bible is not the word of God and possibly false prophecies.

but i love Ken as much as any brother for his testimonies against evolution and at least some education in rebuttle
They don't say why because, they don't have anything to say! We direct people to the Bible for answers to their questions and problems. They tell people things like ';you can be rich if you just have faith';. We use the Bible as the final authority on all matters. They use it to browbeat their members into giving them more money. Do you detect a common theme here? As for God's name; are you just repeating what you have heard, or have you done in-depth research into how many times God's name was written in the ORIGINAL manuscripts? Contrary to popular opinion, the Bible versions available today, are NOT the original manuscripts that should be used in translation. Anyone who does is simply taking the easy way out by rewording what someone else has already written. The translators of the New World Translation, painstakingly used the oldest known manuscripts available to make sure they were translating the actual words spoken by Jehovah, Moses, Abraham, David, Jesus and every other person who said or wrote anything recorded in the Scriptures. Can ANYONE here or anywhere else PROVE otherwise? If not, there is a lot of smoke being blown around here with nothing to show for it.
The original manuscripts (as far back as have been found) had God's name in them about 7000 times. The King James Translation (original one) had it only 4 times. The New World Translation restores the Bible Author's name to it's proper place.
The reason clergymen say JWs are a false religion is because when our message from the Bible is heard by their laity, their laity realise the clergymen have been teaching them lies and fleecing them and they leave.

No one likes to lose an easy source of income.

Using YOUR own Bible, compare what JWs believe with what the Bible says:

What Jehovah's Witnesses Believe

My brothers and sisters have answered you well. Kent Hovind has an opinion and will tickle some ears. We know who and what we are and who we worship and serve. More than I can say for Kent. Read the bible and pray for guidance and direction from the author.
Kent Hovind is a tool who is probably taking it up the bum as we speak.
You probably didn't hear your preacher say, ';trust me...';
Christians believe that JW is a false religion because they have added to the Bible.

god sounds like Popeye :-)
It may or may not be, but don't base anything on what Hovind says.
Are you saying there are religions that are not false?
I think you need to check out: ';The Jesus You Can't Ignore';, by John MacArther. gty.org
You have it backwards. It is some translators who have have taken God's name out of the Bible and replaced it with ';Lord';. You don't have to take my word for it.

You can read the ';New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures'; online here:

http://www.watchtower.org/e/bible/index.…

Then everywhere where you see ';Jehovah'; you can compare how other versions read, and look up what the original words mean at sites like Olivetree.com. Here is a link:

http://www.olivetree.com/bible/

Take the example of Psalms 110:1. Here is how it reads in the King James Version:

(KJV) Psalms 110:1 %26lt;%26gt; The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

compare with the American Standard Version:

(ASV) Psalms 110:1 Jehovah saith unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, Until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

However the Revised Version took the name back out and replaced it with ';Lord';, so what is right? Well you can look up the verse with a definition window:

(KJV with def window) Psalms 110:1

[[ A Psalm of David . ]] The LORD said ---- unto my Lord , Sit ---- thou at my right hand , until I make ---- thine enemies ---- thy footstool .

Now here is the definition for the first ';LORD';:

Old Testament Hebrew for '. ]] The LORD '

03068 Y@hovah {yeh-ho-vaw'}

from 01961; TWOT - 484a; n pr dei

AV - LORD 6510, GOD 4, JEHOVAH 4, variant 1; 6519

Jehovah = ';

1) the proper name of the one true God

1a) unpronounced except with the vowel pointings of 0136

(strong's number 3068)

and the second ';Lord';:

Old Testament Hebrew for ' unto my Lord '

0113 'adown {aw-done'} or (shortened) 'adon {aw-done'}

from an unused root (meaning to rule); TWOT - 27b; n m

AV - lord 197, master(s) 105, Lord 31, owner 1, sir 1; 335

1) firm, strong, lord, master

(strong's number 113)

Jehovah did tell Moses not only to use his name, but also that he wanted his name to be known: this is what Moses was told to say to Pharaoh:

(Rotherham) Exodus 9:16 but, in very deed for this purpose, have I let thee remain, for the purpose of showing thee my might,--and that my name may be celebrated in all the earth.

(BBE) Exodus 9:16 But, for this very reason, I have kept you from destruction, to make clear to you my power, and so that my name may be honoured through all the earth.

(GodsWord) Exodus 9:16 But I have spared you for this reason. I want to show you my power and make my name famous throughout the earth.

Later when the Israelites entered the promised land Rahab expressed her faith in God and gained salvation for herself and her family by calling on God's name:

Here is how it reads in the New World Translation:

(Joshua 2:8-13) 8 As for these, before they could lie down, she herself came up to them on the roof. 9 And she went on to say to the men: “I do know that Jehovah will certainly give YOU the land, and that the fright of YOU has fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land have become disheartened because of YOU. 10 For we have heard how Jehovah dried up the waters of the Red Sea from before YOU when YOU came out of Egypt, and what YOU did to the two kings of the Am′or·ites who were on the other side of the Jordan, namely, Si′hon and Og, whom YOU devoted to destruction. 11 When we got to hear it, then our hearts began to melt, and no spirit has arisen yet in anybody because of YOU, for Jehovah YOUR God is God in the heavens above and on the earth beneath. 12 And now, please, swear to me by Jehovah that, because I have exercised loving-kindness toward YOU, YOU also will certainly exercise loving-kindness toward the household of my father, and YOU must give me a trustworthy sign. 13 And YOU must preserve alive my father and my mother and my brothers and my sisters and all who belong to them, and YOU must deliver our souls from death.”

Rahab used God's name four times. You can do your research and see that in the Hebrew text the tetragrammaton appears here. Does your Bible translate it as God's name? In English we pronounce these four consonants as ';Jehovah';. In the original languages God's name appears nearly seven thousand times. Why did God inspire his name to be put in his word and tell people to call upon his name if we are not suppose to know it or use it? As I showed you above it is the will of God that his name be made known throughout the earth so that people can know who he is, come to know him, and do his will. Jesus said that this was essential:

(Matthew 7:21) 21 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.

In order to gain life we have to learn about both God, and his Christ, the son he sent to earth to represent him and provide the ransom:

(John 17:3-4) 3 This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ. 4 I have glorified you on the earth, having finished the work you have given me to do.
Jehovas witnesses are a false religion because they are not christian, they believe Jesus is an angel when in fact he is God. They also believe salvation is earned by what you do, unlike christians who believe you cant earn it it's a gift from god.
The main claim is that Jehovah's Witnesses teach that Jesus Christ is not God. This is a false teaching. It really leads to an incomplete understanding of God's word. If Christ is not God than much of scripture doesn't really make any sense.

The Father and the Son are one.
