Can a man use false logic to justify anything?

how could they do it? do they actually believe they are right? Can a man use false logic to justify anything?
Hi..

I think a man can use anything or any mental weapon and equipment, in order to justify his means through the most possible defenses he may get, to obtain its best advantage in his favor..

They could possibly do it to manipulate minds with any hideous schemes beyond their strong convictions and beliefs that are misleading..Thus, whether done by purpose or not..

Then most probably that, they could not also even have the idea of wrongness on their part...Delusions can also be so deceptive and stubborn as well. It can quite do better, to get others influenced.

However at times that a negative effect from strong passions as well can just possibly illogically do anything with judgements..

Good day!

Thank you!Can a man use false logic to justify anything?

Believing a fallacy is called ';rationalization';. This is an honest mistake, but it shows you are not good at logic.

On the other hand, people who are very good at logic AND at doing anything they can to take advantage of people will use false logic to convince their victim. Sometimes the victim gets taken in, sometimes the victim sees what is going on and calls the police.

False logic is not always easily seen. One of the most famous instances is that of Galileo trying to convince the Church that the planets revolve around the sun and that the earth turns on an axis. All conventional wisdom of the time said Galileo was wrong--after all, you can't feel the earth spinning and if it is really spinning fast enough to turn every 24 hours we ought to be able to feel it.

The whole world had been led to believe earth was the center of the universe. But was it false logic? Not really. It was possible to believe because the conventional wisdom because Galileo had new mathematical data the Church was not yet convinced of. Until you are convinced of the veracity of the premise, the syllogism will sound illogical.

Think of this one: until sometime in the early 1800s the tomato was ';known'; to be poison because it is a relative of the nightshade. A little thing like ';species'; versus ';genus'; created false logic that everyone believed.
Yes. And yes, they do believe they are right.

All goals require beliefs because there is no proof. Evidence but no proof. We are free to evaluate the evidence as we like which means we are biased toward goals that we like, i.e. make us feel good.

Think how we justified slavery. How could people do that? Simply by emphasizing some evidence (slaves are incapable of surviving on their own; we are the protectors of the slaves, etc.) so that the resulting judgment is what we wanted. Most had a germ of doubt but still accepted slavery as normal.
Of course you can. You prove anything with false logic. I am a human, you are a human. Therefore I am you. Makes sense lol.

p.s I don't believe that
Accountant quote:

';If you torture numbers enough they will confess to anything.';
The heart desires, the mind aquires.

Logic is a yes man wispering in the ear of an emotional CEO.
Yes, it happens all the time. You've probably done it yourself. Did you believe that you were right?
