Can religious leaders be sued for false advertisement ?

Prayers have been proven to not work .Can religious leaders be sued for false advertisement ?
Proven that prayers don't work? Say who? You? It is proven that people who are prayed for get over their illness quicker that ones who are not prayed for. ( that is public recorded, not something I made up) Now you can decide if a higher power helped (God) or their belief helped, but for sure prayer helps. Can religious leaders be sued for false advertisement ?
yes they can ANYONE can be sue for that even a religious leaders. You just have to have real and actual facts to back up your story
Sure. Just prove them wrong.
Only if we can sue Gore for selling indlugences to ';save the environment';.
very interesting question...not sure...but thought provoking none the less..
Can atheists be sued for lack of courage and faith?

Those two things have been proven to move mountains.
well i see where you are going with this and it is your right but have you ever thought that prayer without real genuine faith means nothing
they should, i mean afterall, they do take in a profit (oops, i mean offering) and yet their product (salvation?) never seems to materialize.

its like selling someone a box of air and keeping it wrapped up saying that if you trie to upwrap the box, all the air will leave and you will be forsaken. Instead, always keep the box wrapped, pay us money, and in the end, you will be given 40 virgins and a mule
Yes they can be sued. Religion is something that has social commitment that they are holy and above the ordinary citizen. I would trust no one when it comes to advertisements - those that advertise want to make money and in this case it is ';donations';. Religion is a real pathetic situation in America - because America is supposed to be a Christian country - but with more and more people out there, there is the possibility that America is free and religion is not!
