Does anyone know if ovidrel ovulation injection gives u false positives on clear blue ovulation tests?

Hey its just that i tested on thursday nite and i got a smiley face and am still getting 1 today and i don't understand why. I was at the clinic yesterday to get my iui done cause am taken gonal-f aswell cause i don't ovulate but i asked the nurse about the ovulation sticks and she said it shouldn't affect them its just pregnancy tests that can give u false positives. Do u think the iui could have Been to soon?

Yes, the ovidrel is an hcg shot which can be detected as a positive on an ovulation predictor kit . . . but it is not ';false'; - your LH levels have been elevated from the trigger shot.





I did the same thing - there was something psychological about seeing the happy face before an IUI cycle!





The IUI timing sounds right given that you had a positive before it. The sperm will hang out waiting a day or two for the egg. To be sure, it wouldn't hurt to get a bit of fun in after the IUI!
