Where is the false prophets of science?

Is global warming the biggest hoax in the history of man kind?Where is the false prophets of science?
No, evolution is. Global warming comes in second place.Where is the false prophets of science?
The false prophet??

Would that be those guys who make like 'The Secret' and stuff by twisting Quantum Physics??

Edit: I second Richard Dawkins as well, he's too popular, yet his most prominent book isn't even based on anything scientifically exploratory.
Actually, it's not.
It's not global warming now, it's climate change, and what can we do about it. Even the one who started all this crap is now rethinking it. C'mon! All this is called...weather!
No, if you read any real scientific journals you would know the answer to that.

The false prophets of science are probably those intelligent design people.
No. It's not a hoax. You need to lay off the conspiracy theories.
kent hovind is one.
That would be religion.
Richard Dawkins.

Yes, it is at least one of the biggest.
hmmm? even if it weren't true, religion would still be a far bigger hoax

I found a false tooth in my burger from a very famous world know burger resturant , i was told it was bone?

then i was told it was false tooth , the owner then had it tested agin and he says its quartz possible from percline or cermic , i believe it is tooth as why would the manufacute say so and make it bad for themselves , i have requested the item again so i can have it tested ,i am waitin on blood results as im worried or health problems, then owner as offered to pay for these tests .. anyone have any advice or had similar story .I found a false tooth in my burger from a very famous world know burger resturant , i was told it was bone?
Fascinating.I found a false tooth in my burger from a very famous world know burger resturant , i was told it was bone?
During cooking, any bacteria would be killed so I don't think you have anything to worry about in that department. As for it being quartz, quartz does not come from porcelain or ceramic material. my bet is on a bone fragment.

About poster Warwick2's response, you cannot sue someone and expect to win unless some sort of damages occur and it doesn't seem the be the case here. You can sue, but you will not win. z.
I found a hair in my food dozens of times. I complain and they give me another one.

You could try to sue, but what were the damages? Talk to a lawyer and see if you have a case.
Sue them!!!

No. If it's positive, the pregnancy hormone HCG is present and you are pregnant. Birth control pills don't give false positive results.Could being on the birth control pill, cause a take home pregnancy test to show a false positive?
No....the hormones in the pill do not effect a pregnancy test. If your pregnancy test says positive, then you are pregnant.

My sister got pregnant the first time on the pill and the second time on the ring!Could being on the birth control pill, cause a take home pregnancy test to show a false positive?
Birth control does not cause a test to show a false positive. You are probably pregnant unless any other medications you have taken include the hormone HCG. Good luck!
    No. If thats the case sounds like you got pregnant on the pill. It happens. %26gt;.%26lt;

Living in Poverty Today is Almost as Good as Being Middle Class was in 1960. True or False?

Many more benefits and much help goes to those that we say are ';in poverty'; today.

Think about how hard an average family's life was in 1960. People at the poverty cut-off today aren't much worse off than an average American was in 1960. Right?

What clothes do poor kids wear to school today? What did your relatives wear in 1960? How well did the car work? Medical care for a poor person is light-years better than it was in 1960. Example: There were no heart bypass operations.Living in Poverty Today is Almost as Good as Being Middle Class was in 1960. True or False?
All valid points. Plus people at the poverty line today have amenities that are all wants, and not needs. For example, cable TV, Internet, cell phones, etc. All these are luxury items. They are not needs.Living in Poverty Today is Almost as Good as Being Middle Class was in 1960. True or False?
Poverty is a subjective term. I think that a person living in 1960 with the luxuries possessed by today's poor would be quite happy. In that respect, your statement is true.

Yet, poverty only has meaning when compared with someone else's standard of living. I think that in 1960, there was more of a sense of personal accountability. People realized that in most cases, if they had accomplished less than others, it was their own failing. Today, I believe that people are much more likely to blame their failures on others. They are much more likely to expect a hand-out to achieve their wants.

So in that sense, I think that people living in poverty today are much worse off than the middle class of 1960. They are miserable and are less motivated to work themselves into better situations.
I'd say that all depends on one's definition of ';poverty';. What dollar range is the highest mark for ';poverty';?

I know people in the middle class who would go bankrupt if they needed an operation. Just because medical care has become so advanced does not mean it has become affordable. Especially in regards to these HMO's that punish you financially if you need to go out of their network for certain medical issues.
I disagree! I was raised middle class, and in the sixties, things were far better for the middle class, than for the poor now! Real wages have not even come close to keeping up with inflation, and the dollar went way farther back then. My father made around $30,000 (in 1960 dollars), back in the early sixties, and I have only broken the $30,000 mark (in 2004 dollars) once in my life. That was 3 years ago. Back then, it was easy for a one income household to live comfortably on $30,000. Now, it takes two incomes to live a comfortable life, unless you are making AT LEAST $45,000.

So no, I do not agree with your question at all! *sm*
    better
I wonder how many people in ';poverty'; and have no isurance have the following:

cable, internet, cell phones, rims, stereo systems, etc, etc.

Just because someone is living in ';poverty';, doesnt mean they dont have luxuries. its all about how they choose to spend their money (or shoudl I say my money)
I've seen a lot of mothers shopping at a thrift store for their childrens' clothes.

My relatives wore nice clothes, their money went further back then.

    Milk wasn't $4 a gallon.

Those cars were built to last. My mom had a Mustang. Beauty.

    Is light years better?

Medical care is better? Yes, the quality is better, if you can afford it.
Real Wages have been declining since 1968. There are more poor as a percentage of the population than there were in 1968. Poverty alleviation was much stronger then.

Being Middle Class today is enjoying less amenities than being poor in the 60's. Unless you were black...

Let's be truthful, the US is still a very difficult place to live in if you are not a white male young to middle aged....

Vanzetti said he was lining ';under'; America, not in it.

There are very many people still living ';under'; America.
Yeah, unless you were black, or hispanic, or jewish, or native american, or asian, or (insert ethnic minority).

If only we could go back to the good ole days when the government only took care of white people. Are you cracked? The reason things were so ';great'; back then is cause nobody talked about it. It drives me crazy when people talk about how great it was in the 50s and 60s. It was, if you were a white young to middle aged male.
Overconsumption of material things does not show an improvement in life.

Respect of the American freedoms, the constitution, and the bill of rights have been taken to a new low. Our prisons are now growing in size. Household debt is growing.

For a poor American, it is more difficult to just get by and people are working longer hours just to keep up.

Having more cheap junk from China does not equal a better life.
Guys and drank and smoked in their offices, drove enormous convertables on highways with little traffic and women had dinner on the table when you got home.

Maybe the poor had it worse then I dunno.
In some cases much better than the middle class of the 60's.

Are defamatory or false accusations postings on the internet are considered slanderous?

Somebody from the friendster community has sentmessages which contains false accusations against my sisters and our business. Can we file a law suit against this person? and will friendster be obliged to help us with this? Are defamatory or false accusations postings on the internet are considered slanderous?
Each state's laws are different, but the common elements of defamation are an untrue statement (expressing or implying facts, not pure opinion) of/concerning the plaintiff, that is published and harm's the plaintiff's reputation, resulting in damages.

Slander is spoken defamation. In other words, the publication is transitory (verbal). Libel is written defamation, and most courts have found that includes publication through electronic media as well. Slander per se is spoken defamation that attacks one's business abilities/competence, or falsely accuses one of a crime (or a couple other things).

In the case of libel and slander per se, damages are presumed in most states. In other words, in those jurisdictions, the plaintiff doesn't need to prove how much they were hurt, just that the statement had some negative impact on their personal or professional reputation.

Proving harmful impact may not be easy, but it's generally easier than proving an actual dollar amount.

As far as the truth requirement, that's where constitutional issues come in. If the person being spoken of (the plaintiff) is a public figure, or the matter is one of public concern, then the plaintiff must prove that the speaker/writer acted with malice -- either knowing that the statement was false, or acting with reckless disregard for the truth/falsity. So, comments about famous people, elected officials, or those who have voluntarily chosen to be at the center of a public debate are all held to a higher standard for culpable mental state (intent/recklessness).

If the situation involves a public concern, but the person spoken of is a private citizen and not voluntarily at the center of debate, then the standard is negligence (carelessness). So, the Mayor's personal assistant, or an executive who didn't personally do anything wrong but works for a company like Enron or WorldCom. These are private individuals collaterally involved in a public controversy, and are afforded slightly higher protection.

So, first you should be asking these questions to a lawyer who is licensed to practice in your state, preferably one who has some experience in internet law and/or defamation cases.

But to address your question, you (and your lawyer) would need to be able to show every one of the elements of defamation, as defined in your state. You could start with the list above, to get a sense of how you would go about proving each element. If you can't meet the elements for defamation (as defined in your state) then you probably wouldn't have a case.

Even if you do, your lawyer then needs to research the appropriate laws governing disclosure on the part of an Internet Presence Provider. There are a lot of special laws regarding what information they can and must provide, and how to get it.

In the end, it's an uphill and probably expensive battle. So, also ask yourself, how much is the fight worth to you?Are defamatory or false accusations postings on the internet are considered slanderous?
Hmmmm...Well, if you can prove that you have sufferred damages(having sales totals from before the incident, and totals from after showing that you have lost significant money) they yes, you can sue. But slander is one of the hardest things to prove, like pain and suffering, so you probably wont win. The best thing you can do is to try to right the wrong, maybe put out messages discrediting the libel, and if all else fails, go for the deep pockets, seriously, sue friendster for not scanning the messages before they were to be sent, at least friendster could have someone to block the sender of the messages, so i would sue for the money possibly lost and for defamation of character. Glad I could help.
If you know who did this, and you can prove the accusations are totally false, you can sue for PROVEN damages.

Your whole game here has to be about showing you, your sister, the business have been harmed in a financial manner.

You have the right to rebuttal on these accusations and if I were you, I wouldn't contact friendster until you know you don't have a suit. Once/if you decide not to sue, contact them and demand rebuttal space or for the information to be removed.
You have to be able to prove that you suffered real damages -- financial in particular. Slander is extremely hard to prove. All you need are print outs off the statements. Can you prove it hurt your business?
If they are false I assume they can, however good luck in finding an attorney!!!

Fox News can LIE in their broadcasts, even if they knew it was a lie, so said the Florida Supreme Court! It may have been the US!! But a reporter was fired for not airing a story she knew was untrue. The court upheld her termination!
Yes I believe that is slander and libel. You should get an attorney and let them do the work for you. And you'll need proof as to who is doing it
YES THE ARE. BUT PROVING IT CAN BE A TOTALLY ROUGH ROAD TO TAKE.

Are there many false PAP smear results?

I am curious if anyone knows if there are alot of false PaP results. I have gotten 2 pap smears by 2 different doctors in the same month. Both said my PAP's were normal but both had HPV high. Are there many false PAP smear results?
An HPV test is pretty sensitive鈥?8% correct. When HPV is doormat or sleeping then the virus can鈥檛 be detected in any test. www.digene.com patient insert for our Hybrid Capture High risk HPV testing. Our HPV test looks for virual load.

At this time your HPV infection may not be producing abnormal cell changes or your virus can be so new it has yet to produce these changes.

Many people with the virus never show any abnormal cell changes, the body producing the antibodies needing to fight the virus.

Follow your doctor鈥檚 recommendations of follow-up. Tell future partners of your infection use condoms because they can provide extra protection to your cervix and may help in the transmission of the virus. Sadly condoms do not protect 100%

There is no treatment for HPV we can only treat the manifestation of the virus.

I hope your next Pap is clear and your HPV test is negative.

    I wish you well.

Is it still possible to have HPV even if my Pap test was normal?

Yes. You can have HPV but still have a normal Pap test. Changes on your cervix may not appear right away or they may never appear. For women over the age of 30 that get an HPV test and a Pap test, a negative result on both the Pap and HPV tests means that no cervical changes or HPV was found on the cervix. This is great news, because it means there is an extremely low chance of developing cervical cancer in the next few years.

    http://www.4women.gov/faq/stdhpv.htm

A False Negative (Looks Normal, But May Not Be)

The Pap test is a very good screening test, but it is not perfect. A single Pap test may miss up to 20 percent of abnormalities. Changes that are missed once are usually found the next time. This is why it is important to get a Pap test at least once every 3 years.

http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/under鈥?/a>Are there many false PAP smear results?
with it being 2 differant ones they are prb correct.however im no doctor.might ask your doc
I had two false positives, and the doctor told me thats very common.I also had high hpv,but was already scheduled for partial hysterectomy..
there is no such thing as a false HPV pap smear result.

You must do all of your follow up pap smears and all other followups your ob-gyn suggests!
Here in georgia HPV is so common that, (it may be federal) we have a law that says girls starting age nine have to have the vaccine......9 years old.....!!!! My point is its probably a sure thing you have that.
What you're experiencing isn't a false result. It's possible to have a high risk HPV virus but not to have any abnormal cells on your cervix. For someone with this type of virus (I have it too), a normal pap is a great thing.

Response to your additional info: Yes. You are exactly right there--your body could be supressing the virus so your cells aren't becoming abnormal.
A single pap smear (or even two) is not necessarily significant. There are MANY ';false positives'; and that is why physicians look at the results of many Paps over time to give a more accurate assessment......while a single test is not always accurate, the Pap tests as a whole over time are VERY effective at screening for cervical dysplasia.

Even high risk strains of HPV are VERY SLOW at causing cancer. The only thing to do is to continue to get Pap smears at the frequency indicated by your physician and make sure that they follow up with colposcopy/anoscopy as needed.

With regular care, HPV is a very manageable infection.

Most people are deficient in Vitamin D from sunshine which leads to the flu during the winter. Vitamin D3 may also prevent many forms of cancer. The standard should be raised to at least 1000 IU of Vitamin D3 each day. The current standard is set at 400 IU each day which isn't nearly enough which is one reason most people are deficient... plus they don't get enough sunshine these days.

If an Illegal alien used a false social security who gets unclaimed tax money?

This is a two part question:

1.)A buisness owner must pay employee taxes. If the employer did not know the the SS# was fraudulant, who keeps the unclaimed tax money paid by the employer and the taxes taken from employee checks? I know that unclaimed social security goes into an account.

2.) If interest is accumulating on this unclaimed social security why is social security going bankrupt when there are millions of illegal aliens who are not claiming it?If an Illegal alien used a false social security who gets unclaimed tax money?
The federal government keeps all tax money paid. If no return is filed, assuming there was a refund due, the money just goes into the general fund.

Social Security is going bankrupt because congress has been raiding the social security trust fund for years to pay for pet programs without appearing to increase the budget deficit. Yes, both democratic and republican congresses have done this. Officially it's a ';loan'; from the trust fund, but it never gets paid back, and the money doesn't earn interest (which it would have if it had been in the trust fund).

Social Security isn't going bankrupt because there are too many baby boomers going to retire at the same time, it's going bankrupt because the congressmen we've elected have robbed us blind.

BTW, there *is* a surplus in both taxes and SS every year from illegal immigrants who use fraudulent IDs. Kicking them all out would end that surplus, and both SS and the federal budget would be even worse off than they are now.If an Illegal alien used a false social security who gets unclaimed tax money?
That is something I would like to know. Maybe our government is as corrupt as our neighbors.
It goes into an account to pay for the war!!!!!
Does the employer actually have to pay taxes on a SSN that doesn't match government records? I didn't think so. I think employer keeps it, but I'm not sure.
We don't care! we just do what we got to. You Americans will give us amnesty and we will be free to take over. Your elections will gave us people who love our votes. They will never build a wall. We will live in The United States of Mexico soon.
    We DO.
they either have false papers or they are getting payed under the table. they will get found out. why don't you call the social security office. or you can just call the IRS and they will be more then happy to help you.
I think this money was redirected to the ';grab it and go'; accounts of lemon and lime farmers for ';Jesus';. First off, there is no such thing as unclaimed money in Conservative controlled districts. It offsets one state or federal budget bottom line or another, and was, more than likely, distributed with the ';blessing'; of a corrupt Governor.
If it happens to be a number that is already issued it counts to the general fund. What is happening though is that more than offend

it is a number that belongs to someone else, like a child, then what happens is the DEPT the illegals incure goes on the number that they have boughten. When caught like after a bankruptcies or an attempt to borrow money, then it is to late you have the number that you were given and the black mark stays with the rightful owner.

Also some employers get by by fileing a 10/98 on their workers
I think it should go to the government, to help pay for services rendered to illegal aliens, and help defray the cost to states and communities. 10 bucks of it should go toward the construction of the border fence and to support law enforcement, also.
Actually they did a study about that, I found this post which is really acurate, they keep on saying how illegals take jobs, how they don't pay taxes, yet...they do, may be you want to read this , is quite interesting

One of the constant arguments that I hear about illegal immigration is that they are draining the nations economy. It is alleged that they don't pay taxes yet benefit from government spending - education, healthcare, and even some welfare spending. The problem with this is that it is untrue.

This article (hattip to both Joan at LA Mom and Bradford Plumer) takes a look at how illegal immigrants pay millions into social security and medicaire yet never receive a penny of those benefits:

As the debate over Social Security heats up, the estimated seven million or so illegal immigrant workers in the United States are now providing the system with a subsidy of as much as $7 billion a year.

While it has been evident for years that illegal immigrants pay a variety of taxes, the extent of their contributions to Social Security is striking: the money added up to about 10 percent of last year's surplus - the difference between what the system currently receives in payroll taxes and what it doles out in pension benefits. Moreover, the money paid by illegal workers and their employers is factored into all the Social Security Administration's projections.

    ...

It is impossible to know exactly how many illegal immigrant workers pay taxes. But according to specialists, most of them do. Since 1986, when the Immigration Reform and Control Act set penalties for employers who knowingly hire illegal immigrants, most such workers have been forced to buy fake ID's to get a job.

Most studies are showing that the vast majority (75%) of illegal immigrants in this country are working and paying taxes, and most receive very little benefit from it. Just in Social Security alone illegal immigrants pay approximately 7 billion dollars per year.

    As Joan says, ';Imagine if they were legally recognized and didn't have to lie in order to contribute to our economy.';

So you can use other arguments (which don't typically hold much weight either) to hate illegal immigrants...but do not use the economy, because it just is not true.
Yes, the ones with stolen social security cards do pay taxes. It will go unclaimed. Atleast they put back a little percentage of what they use up.

Jehovahs Witnesses, don't you realize that the Watchtower Society is a False Prophet?

    They have set many dates:1874,1878,1914,1915,1918,1920,1925…

The Bible states that if a Prophecy follows not nor comes to pass that it was a False Prophecy(Deuteronomy 18:20-22)...The Watchtower has proven itself to be a False Prophet time and time again.Jehovahs Witnesses, don't you realize that the Watchtower Society is a False Prophet?
oh this again. how many times do we have to answer this stuff. i wonder why you have to go back in history every time to have a go at us.

we have never ever ever ever ever said we are prophets and never ever ever ever will. we have never ever said and no JW from the WT has said they are inspired and never will. you obviously dont read the whole article on these because they dont say anything dogmatic why ppl think they do i dont know its crazy.

we have made some errors like anyone else and the WT have admitted that what is the problem.

if you ppl have to go into history to find nitpicking faults i think its laughable.Jehovahs Witnesses, don't you realize that the Watchtower Society is a False Prophet?
Not at all. Your accusations are presented without context and are inaccurate.

If you're thoroughly familiar with the Bible you will be aware of the passage of scripture in 1 Chronicles 17:1-4 (New International Version) ';After David was settled in his palace, he said to Nathan the prophet, ‘Here I am, living in a palace of cedar, while the ark of the covenant of the Lord is under a tent.' Nathan replied to David, ‘Whatever you have in mind, do it, for God is with you.' That night the word of God came to Nathan, saying: ‘Go and tell my servant David, ';This is what the Lord says: ‘You are not the one to build me a house to dwell in'';' Verse 15 adds, ';Nathan reported David all the words of this entire revelation.'; The prophet had to reverse himself. The future activities that David had in mind and which the prophet Nathan was sure was in God's mind were not at all true.

Does this mean Nathan was a false prophet? not at all.

Really you do yourself and others that make the same accusations over and over a disservice.
    false Prophets? LOL

You mean the WT told ';Past truths';.

They have since gained new light and have changed their minds on certain issues including the end of the system of things.

NO JW will, admit that the WT is a false prophet even though everyone can see it for what it is - a money making scam, a business, a corporation.

You cannot be a JW without honouring the WT, and following it's word.

It's parallel to their dodgy bible.

And must be used in conjunction with their bible.

It has warned us not to read the bible alone.

So - does that mean one can only be guided by the holy spirit whilst holding a copy of the WT?

The fact that a JW will go door to door distributing copies of the Wt makes them false prophets too.
I wonder, if you had to be somewhere 2000 miles away ... somewhere you'd never been but it was a matter of life and death you get there. Now you are NOT the driver. You are a passenger in a car with someone else enroute to the same destination. The question is, with a trip that important, would you prefer to have a driver who bullheadedly stays on the road he's chosen, even in the face of evidence that he is going in the wrong direction? Or would you rather be with a driver who checks his map periodically and humbly makes a course correction when he realizes he's made a mistake?
Although I appreciate your concern, what you are stating is not true. The Watchtower has been vigilant about keeping an eye out for the fulfillment of certain Bible prophecies that would mark the end of some things and the beginning of others. The Watchtower has NEVER claimed to be a prophet able to look into the future and say exactly what would occur, when and how. We have 'set' no dates as you claim. 1914 is a year that signified the beginning of Christ rule in the heavens, and the Watchtower did recognize this. Some in the organization (not all) did also 'expect' other things to happen during this time period, but due to eager anticipation and have not a completely developed understanding of things, things did not occur as 'some' would have expected. However, there is a very big difference in 'expecting' a certain thing to come, and saying 'IT WILL HAPPEN ON THIS DATE WITHOUT A DOUBT'.

The Watchtower is not a false prophet, it is the only organization that has distinguished certain Bible truths AND acted accordingly. You should also feel that the Disciples and Apostles of Christ were also 'false prophets' because they also had a false expectations in regards to Jesus and his Kingdom. They thought or 'expected' it to be set up on Earth with him taking over as a Political King. The same Watchtower organization you denounce is also the same one that has correctly discerned that certain practice (Christmas, Political Involvement, Birthday Celebrations etc) are unscriptural. But these things were discerned YEARS ago. But how many other religious organizations claiming to be Christian still participate, support or allow such practices??? So at any rate the Watchtower Society would STILL be leaps and bounds beyond others in regards to Bible discernment and understanding.

The Watchtower Society is also the only organization that is fully involved in promoting the interest of God's Kingdom as Jesus did. (Matthew 28:19,20) All Christians received that same command to preach from Christ, yet how many do this??? Again the Watchtower would STILL be leaps and bounds beyond others in this regard.

John 17:16 shows that Jesus disciples are 'no part' of the world. We do not get involved in politics or nationalism, we remain neutral just as Jesus did. But just for one example, in 1933 the Vatican signed a Concordat (agreement) with Nazi Germany, which subsequently gave Hitler a clear path and allowed him to achieve his wicked ends. Jehovah's Witnesses however were persecuted WITH the Jews, not just because of racial connections, but rather because of our 'neutral' stance in regards to governments. So again, the Watchtower Society would STILL be leaps and bounds beyond others in this regard. So contrary to your claims, the Watchtower has only proven itself to be a tool in the hands of Jehovah God used to carry out his will and spread accurate knowledge about him and his purpose for mankind.

No amount of persecution will deter the modern PROPHETS of God from fulfilling their commission as a cloud of witnesses to the supremacy of Jehovah God.

    *** w72 4/1 p. 197 ‘They Shall Know that a Prophet Was Among Them’ ***

God....had a “PROPHET” to warn them. This “PROPHET” was not one man, but was a body of men and women. It was the small group of footstep followers of Jesus Christ, known at that time as International Bible Students. Today they are known as Jehovah’s Christian witnesses.

    *** g86 6/8 p. 9 “Would That All Were Prophets!” ***

You will be interested to learn that God has on earth a people, all of whom are PROPHETS, or witnesses for God. In fact, they are known throughout the world as Jehovah’s Witnesses.

The organization has gotten smart and they no longer refer to themselves as prophets (at least no in print). (Probably because they got tired of being called false prophets)
you should know by now this is the big joke in this YA, reason we do no take them seriously anymore.

BTW, JW seems not to preach the failed prophecy dates nowadays since their last convention; but you will start reading things like coming of 'new lights' . Their lightbulbs bursted a long time ago and need a new one??

Read Iamnot carefully and you will have a good laugh for the day. LOL
You should realize that your ';question'; is a false assumption and a false opinion.

The dates were expectations, not prophecies.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe that the gift of prophecy exists today. Therefore, we cannot make prophecies.

What we do is try to understand the prophecies made by God and by the Lord Jesus Christ, as recorded in the Bible. God's prophecies. Christ's prophecies.

We have sometimes misunderstood God's prophecies, and we have honestly admitted to that.

But we don't forget about God's prophecies. We don't forget about Jesus' prophecies.

    And we continue to ';keep on the watch.';

we know even if they dont..

    google kingdom of the cults
There is nothing in Deut. 18:20-22 about “claiming inspiration.” It says ONLY that the prophet CLAIMS TO SPEAK IN JEHOVAH'S NAME: “’But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.' You may say in your heart, 'How will we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?' When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.”

Has the Watchtower ever claimed to speak in Jehovah’s name? Many times. Right now in front of me, I have the book “The Nations Shall Know that I am Jehovah—How?” It is a first edition, copy written in 1971.

In the chapter “Commissioned to Speak in the Divine Name,” on pages 58-59, this book says, “So it is with the modern-day counterpart of Ezekiel: it is, not one person’s body, but a composite body, made up of many members. All these members were together to do the will of Jehovah, who is the Creator of this modern “Ezekiel.” Who, then, are the group of persons who, toward the beginning of this ‘time of the end,’ WERE COMMISSIONED TO SERVE AS THE MOUTHPIECE AND ACTIVE AGENT OF JEHOVAH? In order to determine this, check the history of 1919…”

Page 62: “They were a small minority group of men and women who had dedicated themselves to Jehovah as God by following in the footsteps of his Son Jesus Christ…After years of waiting they felt that attention had been paid to their desire when the book entitled “The Finished Mystery” was published…by the Watch Tower Bible %26amp; Tract Society.”

On page 70, they continue: “Likewise, it was a trying mission upon which the modern Ezekiel class was sent, to religious people of the same type as those in Ezekiel’s day. But regardless of how Christendom views or regards this group of ANOINTED witnesses of Jehovah, the time must come, and that shortly, WHEN THOSE MAKING UP CHRISTENDOM WILL KNOW THAT REALLY A ‘PROPHET’ OF JEHOVAH WAS AMONG THEM.”

You can’t get much plainer than that.

Ironically, in this very same publication, I have so far found one failed prophecy, beginning on page 216:

“Shortly, WITHIN OUR TWENTIETH CENTURY, the ‘battle in the day of Jehovah’ WILL BEGIN against the modern antitype of Jerusalem, Christendom…However, Jehovah’s ‘sword’ will not be applied merely to those adhering to Christendom. It will also be brandished against ‘all flesh from south [Christendom] to north.’ Religionists belonging to all the rest of the world empire of false religion will feel the cutting edge of Jehovah’s ‘sword.’ Their being non-Christians will not cause them to be spared. They will not be left to gloat over the destruction of Christendom as a rival religious system.”

Now I have some questions: Did the twentieth century witness the Battle of Armageddon…did it come and I missed it? Did the twentieth century witness the destruction of Christendom and all other religions as well as non-Christians, and I missed it?

This, friends, was a false prophecy, and the WTBTS are false prophets.

[Edit--one other thing worth mentioning here, without having to dig up old WT quotes. Remember the Society's publication titled ';Millions Now Living Will Never Die?'; That was written and published in the 1919-1920 time frame. According to the publication I mentioned above, the WTBTS claimed to be a prophet, a ';modern-day counterpart of Ezekiel'; at that time. So, is that a true prediction or did that fail? It failed, because there are not millions of people from 1920 who are going to live through Armageddon according to the Watchtower viewpoint. There are not millions today who are JWs who were alive in 1920. That is a prediction that failed and was definitely spoken at the time the WTBTS claimed to be commissioned to speak in Jehovah's name].
Even if it should delay keep in expectation of THE DAY OF JEHOVAH

The special period of time, not 24 hours, when Jehovah actively manifests himself against his enemies and in behalf of his people. With divine judgment executed against the wicked, Jehovah comes off victorious over his opposers during this “day.” It is also a time of salvation and deliverance for the righteous, the day in which Jehovah himself is highly exalted as the Supreme One. Thus, in a double way it is uniquely and exclusively Jehovah’s great day.

This day is detailed in the Scriptures as a time of battle, a great and fear-inspiring day of darkness and burning anger, a day of fury, distress, anguish, desolation, and alarm. “What, then, will the day of Jehovah mean to you people?” God asked wayward Israel by the mouth of his prophet Amos. This: “It will be darkness, and no light, just as when a man flees because of the lion, and the bear actually meets him; and as when he went into the house and supported his hand against the wall, and the serpent bit him.” (Am 5:18-20) Isaiah was told: “Look! The day of Jehovah itself is coming, cruel both with fury and with burning anger.” (Isa 13:9) “That day is a day of fury, a day of distress and of anguish, a day of storm and of desolation, a day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick gloom.” (Zep 1:15) During such a time of trouble, one’s money is absolutely worthless. “Into the streets they will throw their very silver . . . Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to deliver them in the day of Jehovah’s fury.”—Eze 7:19; Zep 1:18.

A sense of urgency is attached to the day of Jehovah by the prophets, who repeatedly warned of its nearness. “The great day of Jehovah is near. It is near, and there is a hurrying of it very much.” (Zep 1:14) “Alas for the day; because the day of Jehovah is near.” “Let all the inhabitants of the land get agitated; for the day of Jehovah is coming, for it is near!”—Joe 1:15; 2:1, 2.

The Bible warns of false teachers throughout the New Testament. Paul, James, and John all warn of them. I don't know why people fall for it.Why do so many follow false teachers under the role of thought leaders?
In them is fulfilled the scriptures : (( MANY )) false prophets shall rise and shall deceive (( MANY ))

    2 Peter 2:1-2

1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

Although I've been in the truth a long time; I've always examined any teaching in the light of the Bible; because of that, the odd dodgy interpretation of scriptural text - I've treated with a pinch of salt; so I've not been stumbled. There has been misleading statements, though sometimes exaggerated. Jesus said: ';the one doing the will of the Father...'; would be approved by him; not the one having a direct line of Communication with God.
There are none. Jehovah's Witnesses never made ';prophesies';. We never made a true or false prophesy because we simply did not give any prophesies. We discuss the Prophesies that are in the Bible, that doesn't mean we prophesied. You will also here how JW's have ';predicted'; things as well. This is also not true.
    there ain't none :p

people say we keep coming up with these, and truth is, we never did

sure, a group of witnesses have at one point or another, but the witnesses as A WHOLE never have, search any publication, it wont say it.

the bible says that not even Jesus knows when it is, only god does. the day will 'come as a thief' as the bible says

the only prophecies we believe in come from the bible ;)
that they are GOD'S chosen people and anyone who doesn't go to the kingdom hall are';wordly';,that the 144,000 in the bible pertain to only jw's ,that they were persecuted more than any other people, they fail to remember that hitler killed 6 MILLION JEWS in the holocaust.
their not false, anyway some day only god knows he will kill all those that are truely evil(won't be good even if they know the truth) and then we will live in paradise for 1000 years and then god will let the devil out(he will capture the devil) and then those that truely believe in him will be good and then people will live forever

How do you care for false lashes to keep them re-usable?

I want to buy some MAC ones, but they are more expensive, so I want to use them continually. I normally add coats of mascara to them once applied.....???How do you care for false lashes to keep them re-usable?
You should be careful not to rub your eyes while wearing the eyelashes. When your done wearing them, take them off carefully by the lash. Use adhesive from sephora, it's really good! When you take the eyelashes off, swish the bottoms in rubbing alcohol, to take off the glue, and then in water, to take off the rubbing alcohol. How do you care for false lashes to keep them re-usable?
You can just put them back in the case after use. I buy the cheaper ones but even they last me around 6 uses. I just take them off immediately when I'm done (never sleep in them). As for the mascara, use a light one just to perk the lashes a little, buy the lashes a little longer so that you will get more use instead of having to cake on mascara.
If you want to reuse the lashes then I don't recommend applying mascara on them. Just curl your lashes before and then apply the falsies. Use a comb to brush through and blend the lashes.

To remove gently pull from the outer corner towards the inner. If it is a little hard to take off don't pull...use a q-tip dipped in some eye makeup remover and hold it at the corners to loosen the glue.

Once you've removed the lashes clean the glue off. You can just use your fingers and lightly pull at the glue on the base and it should easily come off. Put it back in it's original package to retain the shape. You should be able to use them 5-6 times depending.

MAC and Shu Uemura make great lashes but they are expensive. You can buy a lot of cheaper lashes that will do the trick too. Check out these sites....

No it would have no effect on a pregnancy test. Pregnancy tests detect a certain amount of hormone in your body that you only produce when you are pregnant. If it is there, the test would be positive. If it is negative, it is either bc you are not pregnant or you tested too early while the levels were too low to be detected. In that case you should wait at least 2 days and test again. Bc the HCG levels double every 2-3 days. It has nothing to do with smoking. Can smoking cigarettes cause a false pregnancy test? ?
No it can't. A pregnancy test only detects HcG in your system and nothing can dilute HcG or give you an inaccurate result unless you test too early and there isn't enough hormone in your system.

How do I know this? I smoked like chimney before I found out I was pregnant with my first and I still got a positive.
no...smoking does not affect a pregnancy test's results...preg tests detect the amount of hormone's in your urine....and smoking cannot increase ore decrease hormone levels...
No, because pregnancy tests look for HcG levels, not nicotine levels. I dont have a link to back it up tho, sorry.
    No.

Pregnancy test rarely give false positives.
Uh no. Smoking has nothing to do with you HCG horomone production.
no angelaa%26lt;3 a pregnancy test measures Hcg levels not nicotine levels. Good luck
    no.

Why do Muslims believe in Mohammad even though he was obviously a FALSE prophet?

I mean, he married a six year old girl (Aisha) after all...Why do Muslims believe in Mohammad even though he was obviously a FALSE prophet?
perhaps we should try to clear up why you (and perhaps others) think he was a false prophet...

Do you have any proof or sources saying he wasn't? And i mean solid proofs not this website (that some hate filled person made up) said so...

Now you say, okay then prove that he is a true prophet, right?

    * Moreover scholars have pointed out that what Jesus' said in his native language of Aramaic represents another similar Greek word Perildytos', which means the Admirable or the Glorified One and corresponds exactly to the Arabic word Ahmad'.

And i don't need to stress the marriage issue. MANY have already pointed out the historical evidence that this was the norm. And

after reading it, i'd like to know what exactly you think of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) after that. Why do Muslims believe in Mohammad even though he was obviously a FALSE prophet?
Do realize that in Islam, you are not allowed to question the faith. You just believe in it. There are many that have realized the wrong in Islam and have found the true path to God, but then there are a lot of naive people who actually do not know what Islam is really about since everything is censored so that they do realize the truth. Another thing, if someone leaves Islam, they are to be put to death (in Islamic countries only of course) so they are scared into forever staying a Muslim or facing punishment.

But of course, Mohammad was not just a false prophet because of his marriage to Aisha. There was several other obvious factors that should have made it clear from the beginning that you probably should research. You can find several things online and checking some books out from the library might help too. (:
You are very ignorant arent u, if u read up history u will c that the average age of death of people in those times wa like 20 or so, people then matured much much more quickly Aisha had reached puberty etc..

Even in the 1920's the average age of marriage was 12-15 years old.

Please if they believe in Mohammed its up to them.. its a free world.

Why do u care what people believe and what they believe may be false, focus on urself
Married to the young girls.. there is nothing wrong with it..

Having sex with a young girls.. that is wrong..!

Married doesn't mean must have sex..

Married means to taking care of one another..

Atheists %26amp; Jews Love to have sex with young girls..

we can see it clearly in the porn movie..
All 'prophets' are false prophets. There is just as much proof that Jesus was divine as there is for Mohammad's stance as a profit -- absolutely none.

At the end of the day, your beliefs are no more valid than anyone else's.
Why do any of you believe in the supernatural, with no evidence? One delusion is no greater than the other.
That is not at all a problem for them... They want to be united as Muslims and giving terror 2 the rest...........
whats marrying a six year old got to do with whether he is a prophet or not?

Why do global whiners keep using this data fraud to support their false claims?

Take a look at the graph they use on the Wikipedia Global Warming page. If you look at the peak temperature in 1998 and draw the line, global temperature as measured by 3 different sources, all indicate a downward trend. Notice though, how they draw the line? This is data fraud people. They are hiding the downward trend of the last 11 years of global temperature data. They lie!!!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Satell…Why do global whiners keep using this data fraud to support their false claims?
';Despite recent fluctuations in global temperature year to year, which fueled claims of global cooling, a sustained global warming trend shows no signs of ending, according to new analysis by the World Meteorological Organization made public on Tuesday.

The decade of the 2000s is very likely the warmest decade in the modern record, dating back 150 years, according to a provisional summary of climate conditions near the end of 2009, the organization said.

The period from 2000 through 2009 has been “warmer than the 1990s, which were warmer than the 1980s and so on,” said Michel Jarraud, the secretary general of the international weather agency, speaking at a news conference at the climate talks in Copenhagen.

The international assessment largely meshes with interim analysis by the National Climatic Data Center and NASA in the United States, both of which independently estimate global and regional temperature and other weather trends.

Mr. Jarraud also said that 2009, with some uncertainty because several weeks remain, appears to be the fifth warmest year on record.';Why do global whiners keep using this data fraud to support their false claims?

Was I a victim of false imprisonment?

I was at the bears cowboys game last night and my friend decided to throw a beer at a cowboys fan. Security took us both to the bears detention center. I had done nothing wrong, I was just standing with him. They threw us into a cell for 3 hours. Eventually a real chicago police officer came through and cited me with disorderly conduct. The complainant was one of the guys from the private security company. The details said that I was using profane language in a way that provoked a breach of the peace. Obviously, I will go to court and beat this charge. After that, can I file a police report or sue for false imprisonment? Was I a victim of false imprisonment?
I dont think you should have been imprisoned. If it was your friend it should only have been him. It wasnt your fault. Was I a victim of false imprisonment?
I bet you have better aim than Grossrexman! No but I think you can file one for being forced to watch a usless offense like DA BEARS!
The burden on proof for temporary detention is reasonable suspicion. That simply means a person of average intelligence would look at the facts and suspect you may have done something wrong. That is a pretty light burden of proof. As long as that is met, you have no case.

Keep in mind there are also laws pertaining to ';party to the crime';. If you assisted in any way, you can be held just as responsible as your buddy that threw the beer.

As far as the yelling, give me a break. Its a football game. Who doesn't use profane language? Especially when you are getting thumped. I wouldn't expect yelling and profanities to come into play unless some other fan complained to the staff, and the staff warned you.

Did your buddy hit who he was aiming at? If he did, have him see Lovee. Maybe your buddy can get Wrecks job.
It's possible. For false imprisonmen, you must be held against your will without lawful authority. Your friend committed assault/ battery by throwing that beer. If you are convicted of a crime, your assertion of false imprisonment goes out the window. Using profane language at a football game is not unusual conduct, certainly not worthy of being detained. Talk with a lawyer, but it sounds like you might have a case.

(Incidentally, I'm a law student, and the two above answers don't know what they're talking about. You don't have to lose wages to be falsely imprisoned, nor do you actually have to be in a prison. :)
No because you were not imprisoned.
no. defamation of character, at best. unlikely, however. especially if you did not incur any damages (lost wages, injuries etc)

Where do Liberals get the false idea that health care is a right?

they have been taught that everything they desire is a 'right'.Where do Liberals get the false idea that health care is a right?
We DON'T think it's a ';right';. We think that practically every OTHER industrialized nation in the world covers all of it's citizens, and America, the greatest country in the world should be able to match that. Knowledgeable people also know that the 40 Million uninsured people in this country, that use the ER as their personal physician or that suffer from diseases that could be prevented if they had health care cost the country, MUCH more than Universal Coverage would ever cost. And, lastly, we know that compassion to fellow human beings pays back dividends in the long run. These are all things that apparently YOU still need to learn.Where do Liberals get the false idea that health care is a right?
It's an emotional argument. If one were to argue against this thought, their next move is to make you look heartless and try to guilt trip you into accepting universal health care.

Health care has nothing in common with our existing rights other than the fact that it is something people might want. But rights are not about what we want, rather what we are entitled to as individuals. None of the other rights costs $. The 2nd amendment gives me the right to bear arms, it does not require the government to purchase one and supply me with it.
Maybe from the same place conservatives get the false idea that marriage is a right, and one they feel obliged to ';protect'; from gays joining. or, why do conservatives think they have spread democracy, peace, and stability to Iraq... and that all of that was sooooo worth our tax money. Stupid.

You couldn't define human rights if your very life depended on it. Go live in China, you won't have to pay hardly anything for others' medical care, other than the leaders.
They have been taught to ignore facts. How about their take on taxes (lies) and the meltdown? Democrats blocked reform at Fannie Mae, and they refuse to even watch Barney Frank's statements and the Democrat after Democrat opposing reforms! Then they accuse Bush of pushing Laissez Faire economics despite his Treasury Secretary being shot down by Democrats. This country is being lied to, and the Liberals are leading the charge.

Greedy GOP? See the above answer? Here are the statistics that the Left loves to ignore so they can repeat their rhetoric. Keep in mind that the top 5% will pay most of the bill. What is left for people who already get nailed in taxes? Pure Socialism where everyone makes the same after taxes? Why bother going to college?

Health Care reform is needed, but why do they want the government to run it? Because other people will have to pay for it, and because everything the government does is so less expensive and efficient.

Because they don't know a word of the constitution after the first amendment....

Nowhere does it say that the federal government has a right to provide health care. It doesn't even say that they can bail out anyone, but the government is doing it anyway.

    WAKE UP!!!
Why is education a right? How dare they insist that knowledge and free access to your future is a right! You should have to pay for your intelligence, and anyone who can't afford it should be forced to work at McDonalds since they're obviously stupid!

Why isn't it a right? Please tell me, why should we damn those who aren't as fortunate as us to death and punishment just because they can't afford the overly pricey doctor bills? And Conservatives call themselves the moral party?

No seriously, I'm going to make a question on that.
i wonder that myself. (lol) The thing is that if you REALLY try and get health care you can. There are many state ran, and other government ran things that help people to make payments. (grr pisses me off)

We are going to have a Bad government ran health care soon. like france and Canada. :(

Liberals think everything they want is a right. Gay marriage, fed funding for arts, public television, cars that get 400 miles to the gallon, time machines, you name it, they want it.

Oh yeah, I must have forgot that you guys think that every other industrialised country in the world is ran by filthy commies...

I hear Preachers Like Kent Hovind say that YHWH wittiness' is a false religion& then dont say anything to why?

Apart from the obvious;Changing almost every time the word Lord to Jehovah.(I am sure if God wanted his name every where he would have told Moses instead of ';I AM WHO I AM';.

Is there much other reasons why it would be a false religion?I hear Preachers Like Kent Hovind say that YHWH wittiness' is a false religion%26amp; then dont say anything to why?
I am sure that if God wanted his name every where, he would have put his name in the Bible about 7000 times.

    Oh, wait! He did!

I guess we should use it then.

Yes, it was everyone else who changed Jehovah to Lord, not the other way around.

By the way, Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh just sheds more light on the meaning of God's name Jehovah (YHWH) and is not God's name. Also, it is more accurately translated ';I Shall Prove To Be What I Shall Prove To Be,'; and not ';I Am That I Am.'; (He didn't say ';I Am Who I Am.';) Almost every Bible translation translates ';Ehyeh'; as ';I will be'; - or some equivalent - just two verses prior (Ex 3:12). Why they lack consistency in verse 14 is a mystery.

As for preachers like Kent Hovind - who cares? God is the judge, not man.I hear Preachers Like Kent Hovind say that YHWH wittiness' is a false religion%26amp; then dont say anything to why?
Although I have little respect for Mr. Hovind, he is correct in his opinion of JWs.

With the false prophecies in their history, denial of many Biblical Dcotrines, and changing the Word of God to suit their own doctrines, it can only be classified as a religious cult.

The members are very nice, sincere people, but they are also sincerely decived.
If Kent Hovind told me the Sun would rise tomorrow I would get worried.

There are plenty of persistent and deliberate liars in this world and some are so obvious that they are ridiculous. Other are a little more convincing.

But in this case it's ';Pot, meet Kettle';.
I believe Jehovah's Witnesses have the right religion. They believe the whole Bible is the word of God 2Timothy 3:16. They believe Jehovah God is the creator of all things Genesis 1:1. They believe some go to heaven Revelation 14: 1 and most will live on earth Matthew 5:5. They so not fight and kill in wars or vote Matthew 26:52; Revelation 13:10; John 17:14, 16; 18:36. They do this in the face of prison or death in some countries. Korea sees all men who are Jehovah's Witnesses do prison time because they refuse to do military service. They do not celebrate pagan and Satanic holidays Matthew 4:10; 2 Cor 6:15. They preach and preach and preach just like the first century Christians. That is truth.

It was a question on Jepeordy that no one knew. What is the most accurate translation of the Holy Scriptures? The answer was ';New Translation of the Holy Scriptures';. People say that they changed it to suit their doctrines but really they went back to the earliest manuscripts and now even non JW's have listed it as the most accurate translation. Too bad for all those who have been lied to if they don't do their research.
    No, you have it backwards. Jehovah's Witnesses did not change the word Lord to Jehovah. The name Jehovah (or Yahweh, YHWH) appears in the Bible some 7,000 times. It is the other translations that changed it to ';Lord'; or ';LORD.';

And that's the point. God DID tell Moses that his name was Jehovah (or Yahweh, YHWH). Read the book of Exodus, in the Hebrew text.

You are relying on translations, not on the Hebrew text, and those translations are incorrect. They were made by people who presumptuously took God's Name out of his own holy Word.
with kent hovind this is prime example of good education mixxed with opinion and people believing what they are taught and not giving up to greather exaltations and expounding of scripture in sound doctrines.

truly jesus said divide the word of God correctly implies that some of the bible is not the word of God and possibly false prophecies.

but i love Ken as much as any brother for his testimonies against evolution and at least some education in rebuttle
They don't say why because, they don't have anything to say! We direct people to the Bible for answers to their questions and problems. They tell people things like ';you can be rich if you just have faith';. We use the Bible as the final authority on all matters. They use it to browbeat their members into giving them more money. Do you detect a common theme here? As for God's name; are you just repeating what you have heard, or have you done in-depth research into how many times God's name was written in the ORIGINAL manuscripts? Contrary to popular opinion, the Bible versions available today, are NOT the original manuscripts that should be used in translation. Anyone who does is simply taking the easy way out by rewording what someone else has already written. The translators of the New World Translation, painstakingly used the oldest known manuscripts available to make sure they were translating the actual words spoken by Jehovah, Moses, Abraham, David, Jesus and every other person who said or wrote anything recorded in the Scriptures. Can ANYONE here or anywhere else PROVE otherwise? If not, there is a lot of smoke being blown around here with nothing to show for it.
The original manuscripts (as far back as have been found) had God's name in them about 7000 times. The King James Translation (original one) had it only 4 times. The New World Translation restores the Bible Author's name to it's proper place.
The reason clergymen say JWs are a false religion is because when our message from the Bible is heard by their laity, their laity realise the clergymen have been teaching them lies and fleecing them and they leave.

No one likes to lose an easy source of income.

Using YOUR own Bible, compare what JWs believe with what the Bible says:

    What Jehovah's Witnesses Believe

    http://www.watchtower.org/e/jt/article_0…
My brothers and sisters have answered you well. Kent Hovind has an opinion and will tickle some ears. We know who and what we are and who we worship and serve. More than I can say for Kent. Read the bible and pray for guidance and direction from the author.
Kent Hovind is a tool who is probably taking it up the bum as we speak.
    You probably didn't hear your preacher say, ';trust me...';
Christians believe that JW is a false religion because they have added to the Bible.

    god sounds like Popeye :-)
It may or may not be, but don't base anything on what Hovind says.
Are you saying there are religions that are not false?
I think you need to check out: ';The Jesus You Can't Ignore';, by John MacArther. gty.org
You have it backwards. It is some translators who have have taken God's name out of the Bible and replaced it with ';Lord';. You don't have to take my word for it.

You can read the ';New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures'; online here:

    http://www.watchtower.org/e/bible/index.…

Then everywhere where you see ';Jehovah'; you can compare how other versions read, and look up what the original words mean at sites like Olivetree.com. Here is a link:

    http://www.olivetree.com/bible/

Take the example of Psalms 110:1. Here is how it reads in the King James Version:

(KJV) Psalms 110:1 %26lt;%26gt; The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

compare with the American Standard Version:

(ASV) Psalms 110:1 Jehovah saith unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, Until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

However the Revised Version took the name back out and replaced it with ';Lord';, so what is right? Well you can look up the verse with a definition window:

(KJV with def window) Psalms 110:1

[[ A Psalm of David . ]] The LORD said ---- unto my Lord , Sit ---- thou at my right hand , until I make ---- thine enemies ---- thy footstool .

Now here is the definition for the first ';LORD';:

Old Testament Hebrew for '. ]] The LORD '

    03068 Y@hovah {yeh-ho-vaw'}

    from 01961; TWOT - 484a; n pr dei

    AV - LORD 6510, GOD 4, JEHOVAH 4, variant 1; 6519

    Jehovah = ';

    1) the proper name of the one true God

1a) unpronounced except with the vowel pointings of 0136

    (strong's number 3068)

    and the second ';Lord';:

Old Testament Hebrew for ' unto my Lord '

    0113 'adown {aw-done'} or (shortened) 'adon {aw-done'}

from an unused root (meaning to rule); TWOT - 27b; n m

    AV - lord 197, master(s) 105, Lord 31, owner 1, sir 1; 335

    1) firm, strong, lord, master

    (strong's number 113)

Jehovah did tell Moses not only to use his name, but also that he wanted his name to be known: this is what Moses was told to say to Pharaoh:

(Rotherham) Exodus 9:16 but, in very deed for this purpose, have I let thee remain, for the purpose of showing thee my might,--and that my name may be celebrated in all the earth.

(BBE) Exodus 9:16 But, for this very reason, I have kept you from destruction, to make clear to you my power, and so that my name may be honoured through all the earth.

(GodsWord) Exodus 9:16 But I have spared you for this reason. I want to show you my power and make my name famous throughout the earth.

Later when the Israelites entered the promised land Rahab expressed her faith in God and gained salvation for herself and her family by calling on God's name:

Here is how it reads in the New World Translation:

(Joshua 2:8-13) 8 As for these, before they could lie down, she herself came up to them on the roof. 9 And she went on to say to the men: “I do know that Jehovah will certainly give YOU the land, and that the fright of YOU has fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land have become disheartened because of YOU. 10 For we have heard how Jehovah dried up the waters of the Red Sea from before YOU when YOU came out of Egypt, and what YOU did to the two kings of the Am′or·ites who were on the other side of the Jordan, namely, Si′hon and Og, whom YOU devoted to destruction. 11 When we got to hear it, then our hearts began to melt, and no spirit has arisen yet in anybody because of YOU, for Jehovah YOUR God is God in the heavens above and on the earth beneath. 12 And now, please, swear to me by Jehovah that, because I have exercised loving-kindness toward YOU, YOU also will certainly exercise loving-kindness toward the household of my father, and YOU must give me a trustworthy sign. 13 And YOU must preserve alive my father and my mother and my brothers and my sisters and all who belong to them, and YOU must deliver our souls from death.”

Rahab used God's name four times. You can do your research and see that in the Hebrew text the tetragrammaton appears here. Does your Bible translate it as God's name? In English we pronounce these four consonants as ';Jehovah';. In the original languages God's name appears nearly seven thousand times. Why did God inspire his name to be put in his word and tell people to call upon his name if we are not suppose to know it or use it? As I showed you above it is the will of God that his name be made known throughout the earth so that people can know who he is, come to know him, and do his will. Jesus said that this was essential:

(Matthew 7:21) 21 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.

In order to gain life we have to learn about both God, and his Christ, the son he sent to earth to represent him and provide the ransom:

(John 17:3-4) 3 This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ. 4 I have glorified you on the earth, having finished the work you have given me to do.
Jehovas witnesses are a false religion because they are not christian, they believe Jesus is an angel when in fact he is God. They also believe salvation is earned by what you do, unlike christians who believe you cant earn it it's a gift from god.
The main claim is that Jehovah's Witnesses teach that Jesus Christ is not God. This is a false teaching. It really leads to an incomplete understanding of God's word. If Christ is not God than much of scripture doesn't really make any sense.

The Father and the Son are one.
